Chamkoria Chalets Complex,

Sofia district

Tourism in Bulgaria is going through a golden era right now thanks mainly to its breath-taking natural scenery, welcoming culture and low cost of living in comparison to similar climates.  This excellent property is a great opportunity for someone to experience this hidden gem at their own leisure, and at the current price, it will not be on the market for very long.

Located in Borovets, a ski resort on the northern slopes of Bulgaria’s breath-taking Rila Mountains, this fabulous apartment features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, open plan design and 2 balconies on which to take in the glorious surroundings.  As well as the apartment itself, owners will also have access to the many excellent facilities at Chamkoria Chalets including 24-hour security/reception, restaurant, café, bar, transport to ski lifts, indoor swimming pool and sauna.

The apartment is perfectly located with splendid views of Rila, Stara Planina, Vitosha Mountain and the evergreen forests on the outskirts of Borovets Ski Resort. The complex is located only an hour drive from the capital city of Sofia (70 km), meters from the project is the Super Borovets ski lift, in the silence and tranquillity of the Rila Mountain, near the Iskar Dam.

This property not only offers owners a comfortable and spacious place to live but also the chance to venture into the lucrative holiday rental market, in which Bulgaria is one of the fastest growing areas across Europe.  Borovets, in Samokov is a beautiful part of Bulgaria in its own right, thanks mainly to its fabulous ski resorts and welcoming atmosphere but is also a great base from which to explore many other must-see places in the country such as the iconic capital, Sofia, which, as stated, is just over an hour away and Plovdiv.  For those wishing to venture a little further, Borovets is also a good place from which to discover many other European countries thanks to its proximity to Turkey, Greece, Romania, North Macedonia and Serbia.

Another massive draw in the holiday rental market is the fact that, as well as the skiing facilities, the surrounding area is also filled with many excellent walking, cycling, fishing and water sports areas.  Golf fans will also be delighted to note that there are many excellent courses nearby such as Ibar Golf Club (17 miles away) and Air Sofia LTD (30 miles away).

The area is also very well-connected transport wise both locally and internationally, with Sofia International Airport 45 miles away.  This of course provides yet another huge plus point in the context of the residential, commuter and holiday rental markets.

When such brilliant facilities are combined with picturesque surroundings and caring and attentive owners, it is little wonder that this resort has already been successfully used as a holiday home and has received many glowing reviews that can be found on sites such as TripAdvisor, Google Reviews and Booking.com, see the following link to see some of these reviews for yourself: https://www.booking.com/hotel/bg/chamkoria-chalets.en-gb.html

Simply put, Borovets is one of Europe’s top party hotspots on the slopes. And with great value hotels, ski schools and lift passes, it won’t break the bank.

Borovets is Bulgaria’s oldest, most famous and popular ski resort. It's situated on the northern slopes of Rila Mountain, below the Balkans’ highest peak of Musala. With all this beautiful scenery surrounding you, you’re guaranteed some great views while on the slopes. The village has a nice mix of hotels (the majority within easy walking distance of the lifts) as well as shops, bars and nightclubs. If you fancy a change of scenery for dinner, there are lots of great restaurants in town serving excellent local and international cuisine. Just watch out if you're toasting with the Bulgarian national drink, Rakia – it's pretty potent.

Borovets is a great place to learn to ski or snowboard and the ski school is excellent. The 200+ instructors – including many former professional skiers – will help hone and develop your skills until you feel confident to venture out on your own.

The 58km of skiing in Borovets is spread across three distinct ski centres - all linked by lifts from the centre. The pistes carve their way through pine forests, so there's good visibility even on heavy snow days. Sitnyakovo Central ski centre, right above the town, is the largest sector – with a mix of gentle, winding slopes, progressive pistes and a couple of tricky downhills. Markudjik ski centre is your high altitude option, with skiing up to 2,550m, while Yastrebets is where you’ll find what many consider Borovets’ best slopes, including the FIS runs, as well as the Borosport Snow Park. The snow park has 3 lanes of kickers, boxes and rails of different sizes and difficulty. And you don't even have to head home when the sun goes down - night skiing is available every day from 6-9pm.

There has been heavy investment in snow-making equipment, just in case mother nature isn't feeling generous. Over the past few years, Borovets has doubled the number of cannons available to cover over 60% of the ski area.

You can expect lively evenings around here; Borovets is well known for its nightlife, which is very easy on the wallet - a pint here can cost little more than a pound during happy hour. And the party continues into the early hours every night. If you want a more traditional night out, look for restaurants and taverns offering live folk music and Horo dancing.
